The lesson programs Edd Boudreau has developed for the GBC Golf Academy are for students of all abilities and skill levels. Programs run year round and lessons can be customized to fit each individual’s needs. Facilities at the Arbutus Ridge Golf and Country Clubs include a full length driving range and new short game area.

The world class teaching facility where Edd applies his trade includes a 275 yard driving range, features 5 target greens, covered teaching stalls, bunker and 6000 square foot chipping and putting green. Also new in 2007 is the 100 yard short game teaching facility with a 5000 square foot green surrounded by 2 large bunkers for realistic playing situations. All of this is built within the scenic surroundings and beautiful vistas players have grown to love on the West Coast.

Edd has over 26 years of experience playing the game at a competitive level both provincially and nationally. The last seven years have been spent teaching the game to all levels and ages from beginners to professionals. The GBC Golf Academy goes through a 6 week instructor training program each year to ensure that students receive quality instruction while attending our facility. Edd is continually working to build upon his teaching and coaching education through seminars, research and reading.

From golf schools to coaching programs to the Junior Academy, Edd’s programs at the GBC Golf Academy have quickly become known for their level of professionalism and attention to detail. The variety of programs allows students to focus on their specific game. If by chance a student does not see a program that fits his or her needs, Edd can always customize lesson plans to meet their expectations.

Over the years Edd has worked with a wide range of students from first time players who have taken introductory lessons and have subsequently become regular players to students from the junior academy who have gone on to win college and university scholarships. One of Edd’s most celebrated students is Stephen Pointon who won a BCGA provincial title and represented Canada in numerous events. Stephen worked with Edd from Grades 7 through 12 and went on to attend St. Andrews University in Scotland on a full golf scholarship. The joy Edd experiences from the relationships he has built with his students is what drives him to continue teaching the wonderful and exciting game of golf.
