![]() Eddward Julius Boudreau was born in Northern Alberta in the town of High Prairie. Before his first birthday the family moved to Prince Rupert, BC where he grew up and lived for the next 27 years. This is where he learned the game of golf, playing at the Prince Rupert Centennial Golf Club, where he currently holds the course record of -7 63. After years in the fishing industry Edd made the decision to go back to school to fulfill his dream of becoming a golf professional. Edd moved to Victoria in 1996 and has called it home ever since. WorkThe Arbutus Ridge Golf and Country Club is one the Island’s true hidden gems. The course’s scenic vistas and surrounding topography are what drew Edd to this beautiful course. Edd has been a team member since the summer of 1997 where he started as a shop attendant. As Arbutus Ridge matured, making numerous improvements to the course and adding new practice facilities, so did Edd in turning professional and working his way up to Director of Instruction at the Club. In 2002 Edd had the opportunity to develop the GBC Golf Academy at Arbutus Ridge. Under Edd’s leadership, one of BC’s most qualified instructors, the Academy has quickly become one of Western Canada’s premier training facilities with its full length driving range and new 100 yard short game learning facility. Edd’s personalized, hands on approach makes him a popular and trusted golf professional and instructor. FamilyThe one person Edd needs to thank the most for helping him to realize his true calling, is his wife Nancy. Helping him to accomplish his dream of becoming a golf pro, Nancy assisted Edd while he went back to school and upon graduation the couple were married in 2000. The children were not far behind and daughter Danielle (2002) and twin boys Matthew and Jacob (2005) are now the pride and joy of Edd’s life. Succeeding to find the perfect balance between work and family is a goal Edd looks forward to meeting each and every day.
